Note: Roof Performance Assessment Report: a detailed report by an industry expert, used by insurance companies, appraisers and other firms, and property owners indicating condition of roofing materials, roofing fasteners, structures supporting roofing materials, building envelope components in roof, roof insulation if present and overall performance rating of roofing assembly as applied to conditions of the geographic region.

Service Terms, Conditions and Limited Warranty
Pocklington Building Systems Ltd. 101-1002 Lynham Rd. Whistler BC V8E 0K4 (herein referred to as “PBS”)
Arrival and Departure: Work hours are between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday to Saturday, except on holidays. Our service team visits up to 6 sites daily, and may arrive at any time during work hours. PBS service staff will call ahead the day before, to confirm attendance for the following workday. We will do our best to give you a 3-hour time range for arrival.
Repair and Service Rates: Minimum labour charge: $360 (includes up to 2 hours) and $180 per hour after the first two hours. Includes 2 service technicians and service vehicle! Materials are added separately and costs vary depending on the types of products our staff may use.
Estimates: If service is expected to take longer than 4 (four) hours, we will provide an estimate in writing, and explain the details of the work so you know what we’d like to do and why it’s the best solution for your home or building.
Payment for the first visit is due at the end of the first visit, when invoice is produced. Future invoices are due on receipt. We accept cash ($CAD), cheques from Canadian financial institutions, credit card payments over the phone (Visa ™, MasterCard ™), Interac ™, e-transfers, or debit card payments in person at our office.
Fuel surcharge is applicable to all before-tax labour charges on invoices, at a rate of 5%.
GST (Goods and Service Tax) is applicable to all service invoices.
Pocklington Building Systems Ltd is a leader in safety, and adheres to COR ™ safety standards. We never send service technicians to work alone.
PBS will keep work areas clean and tidy, and make every effort to ensure the safety of our staff, building occupants, public and property at all times. This may mean restricting access to certain areas for safety reasons, applying temporary protective coverings, and other procedures as necessary. Customer agrees not to interfere in any way with safety equipment, markings, tools, materials, vehicles, or any other assets, tangible or otherwise, AND customer agrees to respect all barriers and warnings.
PBS staff will choose the safest locations and methods for access to all work areas. Customer agrees to keep all areas where we may use ladders, mobile equipment or store materials clear of debris, furniture, parked vehicles and any other obstructions, which may limit access to work areas. Time spent moving obstructions, is billable.
If there is an unsafe condition, which could put our staff at risk, we will correct it if possible. Time spent correcting unsafe conditions, is billable. If we are unable to correct the unsafe condition and work cannot continue until corrected, work will cease and time accrued will be billable. PBS will duly inform customer of the condition, and provide suggestions on ways to correct it.
Customer agrees to supply at least 2 (two) working GFCI duplex outdoor power outlets accessible to workers, or make arrangements to accommodate from grounded interior power sources. If the nearest power source is more than 70 (seventy) feet away from work area, a “power access” service charge of $50.00 will apply.
Customer agrees to inform all current and potential building occupants of these responsibilities prior to arrival.
Loud noises and vibration can be expected during the course of work. If you have pets, small children or others who could be startled or disturbed by construction noises or vibrations, please inform them and make arrangements for their comfort beforehand.
Safety radius: Please avoid and keep pets and children away from any ground and lower landings within a 50-foot radius around the lowest roof edge below a worker. During windy conditions, our staff may increase this safety radius.
Please do not interfere while workers perform tasks with loud or dangerous tools… we’re always happy to answer questions, but distractions are dangerous. Wait until they have completed the task, and then ask for a chat.
Weather and surface conditions can cause inherent dangers in access to work areas. Please keep decks, walkways and other access routes free of snow and ice. In some conditions, attendance may be delayed due to weather or other circumstances beyond our control.
Warranty for Workmanship: 1 year for all materials and labour to precise area(s) where work was performed! PBS will install all materials as prescribed by manufacturer and perform all work as trained to industry standards and in accordance with all applicable legislations, municipal bylaws and building codes.
No warranty is made or offered for existing substrates or components, such as but not limited to sheathing, structural components, fasteners, membranes, capillary breaks, retention systems,
Customer releases, indemnifies and holds harmless Pocklington Building Systems Ltd., its employees, directors, heirs, agents, administrators, representatives and assigns from any and all claims relating to failure of any and all systems and products installed by Pocklington Building Systems Ltd., due to acts of God, tampering, and any occurrences which would cause said systems and products to sustain loads exceeding the performance, assembly, and application standards of BC Building Code, local bylaws and their manufacturers’ specifications as applicable.
